The rationale of this unit is develop students ability to create questions in history that have meaning to them.  They will do this by creating a series of questions using a question matrix that will provide various methods they may work to present information that answers this question or questions.  Students will experience how to refine questions, take notes on extended research topics and create a social science investigative project. The only stipulations are that the project is within the same time frame with relation to the trimester.  Going forward, students will add on to these presentations as the school year progresses. Groups will work together to develop a presentation that links ideas from various american historical eras up to and through the present.
