US History Day 2

Objectives:

  • Explain the rise of dictators, the beginnings of WWII and American response.
  • Identify and analyze the rise of dictatorships and authoritarian regimes that emerged in Europe and Asia during the 1930’s.
  • Analyze American isolationism during the 1930s and its effect on world affairs.

Bell Ringer:

Access the Treaty of Versailles Reading and read/answer discussion questions.

Activities:

  1.  Finish Quizzes/Read about Treaty
  2. Read aloud Treaty Reading/Discuss
  3. Cause and Effect Chart/Adobe Voice
  4. Discuss Cause and Effect Assign
  5. Timeline Discussion

IB HOA Day 2

Objectives:

  • Identify the significant events and ideas of British taxation that increased ideas of American Independence.
  • Analyze the events that led to the Revolutionary War using methods of historical inquiry.

Bell Ringer:

Answer the Taxation Discussion on Schoology and use p 153-160 in American Promise:  Why did the Sugar and Stamps Acts draw fierce opposition from colonists?

Activities:  

  1. Work on Discussion and answer/read teacher feedback
  2. Finish Taxation Timeline and submit TODAY!!!!
  3. Review economic events leading to rebellion
