Week 2

All US History students should be done with the Crusades Webquest and hand it in at the start of class.

US History P. 2, 7 and 9

Objective:  Explain the effect of Columbus’ discovery of the Americas on the World.

1)  Bell Ringer:  Copy Columbus Web and answer question, “Who was Christopher Columbus?:

2)  Comparison/Contrast Columbus p. 32 in text.

3)  Complete African Slave Narrative Questions.

IB History of the Americas P. 3 and 6

Objective:  Explain and analyze the effect of the Boston Tea Party on the growing feeling toward armed resistance and rebellion in the colonies.

1)  Complete Committee of Coresp to Boston Tea Party Questions.

2)  Discuss questions and complete Evolution to Revolution Questions in groups of 3.

3)  Distribute the Tory vs. Patriot Editorial Guidelines and Rubric.  Due at the end of class tommorrow.

Week 2

Objective:

Identify the effect of the Crusades on the colonization of the Americas.

1) Bell Ringer: Sign out Laptop Computers

2) Work on Crusades Webquest, this assignment will be due Thursday at the start of class. Students will have the day to work on it in class.

IB History of the Americas P. 3 and 6

Objective:  Explain and analyze the effect of the Boston Tea Party on the growing feeling toward armed resistance and rebellion in the colonies.

1)  Bell Ringer:  Answer questions for What’s Up Doc? The Boston Tea Party?

2)  Read and go through What’s Up Doc?

3)  Guide students through Committe of Corespondance Response to the Boston Tea Party and Questions

Objective:

Identify the effect of the Crusades on the colonization of the Americas.

1) Bell Ringer: Pick up Guided Reading Assignment and complete if not finished.

2) Distribute Laptop Computers

3) Go over Crusades Webquest, this assignment will be due Thursday at the start of class. Students will have today and tomorrow to work on it in class.

IB History of the Americas P. 3 and 6

Objective:

Analyze the effect of the Boston Massacre on American patriots and the movement towards independence.

1)  Bell Ringer:  Look at paul-revere-etching.ppt and write down what you notice about the picture.

2)  Read boston-gazette-article.doc and write down Actual events of tchart-boston-massacre-notes.doc

3)  Complete Boston Massacre T-Chart

Well, things should start settling down this week… hopefully everyone is getting programmed and is ready to learn! We are on the normal schedule this week, so P. 2 and 9 will be catching up with P. 7 today. P.7 will work on the GR after starting it on Friday.
